Ok, here it is - George Barna's research shows that though we know we are supposed to lead our kids in their relationship with the Lord, most parents just don't know how.
He doesn't ask the question "why" but I will. Is it because churches have failed to teach the Bible? I'm sure that's part of it.
Maybe it's just because we have not followed the Deut. 6 model of loving God, owning His word, transferring His Word to the next Generation, and not forgetting His Word. (Hmm, sounds like a good class to teach...)
